God Will Deceive

We are nowhere close to the church that the Lord Jesus gave us when He returned to heaven.

God did away with worship in temples of wood and stone and made our body the temple of God.  He did away with the elite priesthood and made shepherds out of common Christians.  The Lord did away with the Old Covenant and gave us a New Covenant in His blood.  The written laws written in stone were done away with and He placed them in our hearts.  The written laws were just schoolmasters that showed us that we cannot obey God’s commandments through our flesh.  He gave us a new heart and a new spirit so that we could commune with Him.  Then He put His Spirit in us to be our guide, teacher, comfort, and to show us all truth.

Instead, we have rejected the New Covenant and gone back to worshiping in buildings of wood and stone instead of houses, and we refuse to believe that our bodies are the temple of God.  We abuse it every which way we desire.  We reinstated the elite priesthood and now look to intellectual power and fleshly reasoning from doctors, theologians and religion professors, neglecting our inheritance in the Lord.  Most churches no longer believe in speaking in tongues, casting out devils and healing the sick.  Mk. 16:17-18.  We have rejected the Holy Spirit and choose to walk in the flesh under the Old Covenant.  Ro. 8:1-15.  We have rejected the cross and the blood of Jesus that was shed to bring us the New Covenant.

America was once a Christian nation and our founding fathers were all Christians.  We have now rejected the idea that our founding fathers established our country under Almighty God.  We have rejected God not only as a nation, but as a church.  As Judah did in the Book of Jeremiah, we have turned away from God and are almost totally deceived as Christians.  We love lies and sins more than truth.   The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?”  Jer. 5:31.

Church leaders preach peace and prosperity.  “Jesus wants to bless you and give you everything you ever wanted in life.”  “For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.”  Jer. 6:13-14.  One of the meanings of “peace” in this passage is defined by Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance as “prosperity” in the Hebrew.

More than one-half of the church teaches that we don’t have to worry about war and destruction because we will be “raptured” up to be with Jesus in the clouds before then.  We will have only peace.  There is no such doctrine in the Bible.

We commit abominations to God and defend them unto death.  We refuse to go back to the old ways.  Did the early church observe Holy Days, Sabbaths, festivals?  Did not the Lord tell us that worship to Tammuz and Ishtar is an abomination to Him?  Eze. 8:5-18.  Then, how is it that we observe the birthday of Tammuz on December 25 of every year, and the fertility festival of Easter (Ishtar) every spring?  ”Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD. Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.”  Jer. 6:15-17.

Because of what God’s people did in the days of Jeremiah, God Himself brought deception and lies upon His people.  Jeremiah lamented:  “Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.”  Jer. 4:10.

Because of iniquity, the worship of Babylonian gods (such as Tammuz, the Queen of Heaven, the Virgin and Madonna) and the refusal of His people to seek truth, God put a lying spirit in the mouths of all four hundred of Ahab’s prophets.  “Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.”  1 Ki. 22:6.

But when King Jehoshaphat insisted that Micaiah, the prophet be consulted, this is what transpired:  ”And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.  And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.  And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.  Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.”  1 Ki. 22:19-23.

If God placed a lying spirit in four hundred of Ahab’s prophets, would He do the same with today’s prophets and teachers?  Are we in the same spiritual condition as the nation of Judah in Jeremiah’s day?  Would God allow the entire nation and even the world be deceived because of unbelief and rebellion?  Mt. 24:24.

“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”  2 Th. 2:10-12.  Is judgment coming to America and the world? You be the judge.
